Nathaniel

Nathaniel Cannon is a graduate student working towards his PhD in Genomics/Bioinformatics. He has his undergraduate degree from BYU in Utah, as well as a Master's degree in Biostatistics. His interests are in the genetic basis of complex traits and how we infer that basis. His office is 519 Carpenter Bldg, phone 814 865 9643, email nsc129@psu.edu

Sue Rutherford is a Research Associate who will be joining the laboratory group in the Department. She comes newly from the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research. Her work is on the genetics of cardiovascular disease. She studies genetic variation and its association with phenotypes in various populations, including Mexican-Americans. Sue's office is 519 Carpenter, phone 814-865-9643, email srs40@psu.edu

We work extensively with others in the Department, so the lab and research personnel include people you can find out about in Joan Richtmeier's and Mark Shriver's lab pages. The main collaboration is via the Hominid craniofacial development and evolution project. We do the bioinformatics, molecular genetics, and computer simulation/modeling aspects of the project.+
