Museum Hours
The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. (During the Fall/Spring semesters). The museum will be closed from May 5 through May 16, 2008, reopening on May 19th and will stay open through August 8, 2008. During this time, the hours will be Tuesday through Friday, 11 am - 4 pm.
Location
Museum exhibits are housed in the Carpenter Building in the northwest corner of Penn State’s University Park campus between the Nittany Lion Shrine, the Nittany Lion Inn, and the Nittany Parking Deck. To reach the museum, take the elevator to the second floor.

The public is welcome to take self-guided tours of the museum during regular hours. Visitors may not have access to all of the galleries – some of the space is used at various times for anthropology classes. Groups can tour the museum on their own if they make arrangements in advance. The museum also offers guided tours to groups of twenty-five or less. Please contact the museum at least one week in advance.
Parking is available at the Nittany Parking Deck next to Carpenter Building. The museum is close to restaurants in the Nittany Lion Inn and Kern Building, and is within walking distance of downtown State College. Visitors can purchase a variety of items from around the world in the gift shop.
