Anna Swiatoniowski -- I am a PhD candidate in biological anthropology under Dr. Nina Jablonski. I have bachelor's degrees in anthropology and biology (Saint Mary's University) and hold a Master's in Immunology (Dalhousie University). My primary research interest is in the dynamics of infectious diseases in past populations. Some questions that interest me include: What can be determined about past epidemics from historical and skeletal records? How have changes in diet, technology, and geographical location in various populations impacted disease trends? Have genetic variations in distinct populations impacted the epidemic spread of disease?
