Nina Jablonski accepted the position of Professor and Head of the Department of Anthropology at The
Pennsylvania State University and relocated to State College,

Release of New Book: Skin: A Natural History
Skin, published by the University of California Press, was
released in October 2006. It is written for a general audience and
discusses everything that most people ever wanted to know about skin,
especially their own. Human skin is unique in three respects -- it is
sweaty, inherently colorful, and easily decorated. Skin explores
these attributes within an evolutionary framework, and provides lots of
information on how skin works and why it is important to our day-to-day
health and psychological well-being. More detailed information on Skin,
