Impending Release of New Book: Skin: A Natural History

Skin is being published by the University of California Press and will be released in early October 2006. It is written for a general audience and discusses everything that most people ever wanted to know about skin, especially their own. Human skin is unique in three respects -- it is sweaty, inherently colorful, and is easily decorated. Skin explores these attributes within an evolutionary framework, and provides lots of information on how skin works and why it is important to our day-to-day health and psychological well-being. More detailed information on Skin, including endorsements from leading scientists, is available from the website of the University of California Press at http://www.ucpress.edu/books/pages/10283.html
